I'M MICHA – Digital product designer and maker based near to Düsseldorf, Germany. With 20+ years of experience, I’ve had the chance to shape websites, apps, campaigns, and digital platforms for brands like Hugo Boss, Credit Suisse, Omega, and BMW.

At Publicis Sapient, where I’ve been leading design since 2016, I focus on bridging the worlds of user experience, visual design, and agile product development – always looking for ways to align business goals with real human needs.

A few years back, I felt the urge to reconnect with hands-on creativity. That’s when I started the Bretterbude Workshop, a basement-turned-playground where I experiment with wood, tools, paint, and prototypes. What started as a personal outlet grew into a brand of its own – with collaborations alongside toolmakers like Shaper Tools, Mr Beam Lasers, and Tools Today.

My roots stretch back to the ’80s, shaped by console games, skateboarding, basketball, and hip-hop – influences that still guide how I think and create today. Whether it’s designing digital products, or handcrafting a piece of furniture in my workshop, my focus is always the same: to push boundaries, turn ideas into reality, and craft experiences that feel like function and aesthetic comes together seamlessly.
